VELOBerlin 2026

(April 2026)

Berlin

(April 2026)

Invited for an interview on FluxFM, a Berlin-based radio station and cultural platform exploring music, pop culture, and societal shifts beyond the mainstream. Salber spoke about This Is Joy, Bro -- its origins, the intention behind the work, joy as a practice, and how we can build a “joy muscle,” as well as the spirit behind the Joy Rides.

Commissioned to create and perform an original piece for the VELOBerlin 2026 Festival. This is Joy Bro founder, Salber, performed a live spoken word piece alongside a 16:9 audio-visual installation (from the point-of-view of a bicycle journey through Berlin). The work explores and questions ideas of home -- can a home be found in a moment of shared rhythm with the shoes of a stranger on a bike?
